Hello everyone. It’s been a very busy month over here, with my short story The World in a Ramen Cup coming out in Analog and my novella Neighbor going live on this website. To everyone who has discovered this site through Analog, welcome. Sit back, grab a book bingo card, read through my early attempts at blogging and book reviews, and enjoy my other stories. I hope you find a lot more here that tickles your fancy. There are more stories in the works, both here and out in the world, so don’t forget to follow me on Mastodon. Or on Twitter or Facebook to keep up with my work.
Wow, the welcome post turned into an exercise in self promotion really quick. Sorry about that; it’s just been a while since I’ve had content that I was so eager to promote. Which bring me to the reason for today’s post; more Neighbor news.
Neighbor has been live on this site for about a month now, and I’m glad to have a chance to introduce you to this strange alien and their world. Of course, reading a 20,000 word novella while on a web browser isn’t the most comfortable way to explore an alien forest, even when divided up into three parts. to fix this, I have formatted the story into an eBook format, and am providing links to download the entire story as a PDF, MOBI, or EPUB for free. I admit, I have not been able to really test out the EPUB layout, but the MOBI looks adequate on my kindle.
Beside the new cover, I am not including any art in these versions of the book. The sketches I did for the serialization of this story will remain a feature of the web version of Neighbor for now. This should help with readability for the eBook version of the story. Hopefully these downloads make it easier to explore the World of Green and Black.
More stories in this series are in the works. Most will be free, though if I ever get a patreon I would like to make some exclusive bonus content. That is a long way off though.
Hope you all enjoy my story; happy reading everyone.
